This site is run by Jugl Studio, a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, United States (“we,” “us”). Questions about these terms? Write to hello@juglstudio.com, or post to any address below.

You are welcome to read, explore, and share links to anything here. In return, please don’t misuse the site: no breaking or overloading it, no scraping it at scale, no using it for anything unlawful, and no pretending to be us.

You should be an adult (the age of majority where you live) to subscribe, download, or buy. Some of what we make is for all ages and some of it is written for teenagers and adults. Each project says who it is for on its own page, and the site itself is intended for the grown-ups.

Please also don’t use the site or anything on it to train a machine-learning model, or take our text and artwork in bulk by any automated means, without our written permission.

Jugl Studio is early. Several things described on this site are in development rather than finished, and we label them that way rather than pretending otherwise. Plans for a project, its contents, its format and when it arrives can change, and sometimes a project is set aside entirely.

Anything we say about work that is not finished is a statement of current intention, not a promise or an offer. Nothing on this site is a contract to deliver a future product, and you should not rely on it as one, or make a financial decision on the strength of it. When something is genuinely ready, we say so plainly and put a status on it.

The comics, games, illustrations, characters, stories, text, the Jugl Studio name, and our logos are our intellectual property (or used with permission). You may enjoy and share them, but you may not copy, resell, repackage, modify, or pass them off as your own without our written permission.

If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright or trade mark, write to hello@juglstudio.com with the work concerned, where it appears on our site, and how to reach you. We take these seriously and will remove or correct anything we should not be using. If you are sending a formal notice under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act, use the same address and include the statements that Act requires.

When we give away a comic, a chapter or a download, it’s for your personal, non-commercial enjoyment, and to share with the people you read alongside. Please don’t sell it, host your own copies for download, or use it commercially. The gift is the reading, not the resale.

We do not sell anything on this site today. There is no checkout, no price list and no shipping. The five sections that follow set out the terms that will apply when sales open, so you can read them in advance. Until then they describe nothing that is happening.

When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy. We confirm it by email, and for printed editions the contract is formed when we ship. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if an item is unavailable or was listed at the wrong price. If you have already paid, we will refund you in full.

The price you pay is the one shown at checkout, in the currency shown there. Depending on where you live, tax or VAT may be added; if so, it is shown before you pay.

Payments are handled by a trusted third-party payment processor. We never see or store your full card details. By paying, you confirm you are allowed to use the payment method.

Paid digital editions are delivered electronically, as a download or access link, for your personal, non-commercial use (the same use rules as our free content apply). Because they are delivered instantly and cannot be returned once accessed, they are generally non-refundable once you start the download or open them, except where the law gives you a right we cannot waive. If you are in the EU or UK and ask for immediate access, you agree that you lose the usual 14-day cancellation right for that item once the download begins. If a file is faulty or won’t open, tell us and we will fix it or refund it.

Printed editions are made and shipped to the address you give us, so please make sure it is correct. Shipping costs and the regions we ship to are shown at checkout, and delivery times are estimates rather than guarantees. Risk passes to you once the item is delivered. If something arrives damaged or faulty, let us know promptly and we will replace it or refund you.

For printed editions, you can return unused items in their original condition within 30 days of delivery for a refund of the item price. We will tell you where to send them; unless the item was faulty or wrongly described, return shipping is yours to cover, and the original shipping you paid is non-refundable.

If you are in the EU or UK, you also have a statutory right to cancel most orders within 14 days of receiving them, for any reason, in addition to the above (the digital-content exception noted earlier aside). Faulty or misdescribed items are always put right. To start a return or refund, email hello@juglstudio.com.

Live Sessions are free online conversations hosted by the studio. Joining one is voluntary and costs nothing.

• A conversation, not a service. A session is not a course, coaching, counselling, therapy, diagnosis, treatment, or medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. Attending one does not create a professional, clinical or care relationship with Jugl Studio or with anyone appearing in it, and nothing said in a session should be relied on as advice about your own situation.
• Guests speak for themselves. We name any guest and say what they do. Their views are their own, not ours, and we do not hold them out as qualified, licensed or accredited in anything unless we say so and they have confirmed it.
• If you need help now. A session is not a crisis service and is not monitored. If you need urgent help, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line.
• What you share is up to you. Anything you say in a session is said to everyone in the room, and we cannot control what other attendees do with it. Please do not share anything about another person that is not yours to share. Camera and microphone are always optional.
• Recording. We will tell you before a session if it is being recorded, and we will not record one without notice. Please do not record or republish a session yourself without our written permission and the consent of the people in it.
• Plans can change. We may reschedule, shorten or cancel a session, change a guest, or remove someone from a session whose behaviour harms the room. Since sessions are free, we are not liable for any cost or loss arising from a change or cancellation.

Some projects will be funded through a crowdfunding campaign. Until a campaign is actually live we do not publish a platform, a date, a price, a funding goal, reward tiers or backer numbers, and you should treat any figure you see elsewhere as not ours.

When a campaign does open, it will run on that platform and under that platform’s own terms, which will govern pledges, payment, cancellation and refunds. Signing up here for news about a project is not a pledge, a pre-order, a reservation or a contract, and it costs nothing.

If you join us on Discord, be kind and keep it welcoming. It is a space shared by families. Follow any community guidelines we post and Discord’s own rules. We may remove access for behavior that harms the space or the people in it.

We only email you if you ask us to, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your details.

Sometimes we link out to Discord, to our social profiles, or to other resources. Those places have their own terms and privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them.

We make this site and its content available “as is.” We work hard to keep it accurate and available, but we can’t promise it will always be perfect, uninterrupted, or error-free.

To the extent the law allows, Jugl Studio is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, lost data or business interruption, arising from your use of the site, its content, our free downloads, our community spaces or our Live Sessions.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for everything connected with the site is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

If you break these terms or the law and that causes a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs we face as a result, to the extent the law allows. This does not apply to anything caused by us.

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as outages at our host or our providers, strikes, natural events, or the acts of governments.

• If one part fails. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands and that part is read as narrowly as needed to make it work.
• Not enforcing is not waiving. If we do not enforce something straight away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.
• Transfers. We may transfer these terms to another company if our business is reorganised or acquired. Your rights are not reduced by that. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our permission.
• The whole agreement. These terms and our privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about the site, and they replace anything said earlier. Nothing here creates a partnership, employment or agency between us, and nobody else has rights under them.
• Language. These terms are written in English, and the English version is the one that counts.

We build this site to the WCAG 2.1 AA standard and test it as we go. We will not always get everything right. If something here is hard to read, hard to use, or does not work with the tools you rely on, write to hello@juglstudio.com and tell us what happened. We will fix it and reply to you.

If we update these terms, we will change the “last updated” date above, and for significant changes we will say so clearly. Continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be handled by the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you agree to that venue. Nothing here removes mandatory consumer protections you have under the laws of the country where you live, or your right to bring a claim in your own local courts where the law gives you that right.
